Huntington House is owned and run by Marilyn and Geoffrey Hoare, assisted by their son Charlie and daughter Sarah. The Hoare family live within the grounds of the home at Huntington House Lodge.
Marilyn has been looking after members of the Hindhead community since 1970. She has an unrivalled reputation for her passionate approach to care of the elderly, and now having stepped down as Matron, enjoys her supervisory role.
Geoffrey's mission has been to create the best possible environment for residents to enjoy. The Victorians certainly knew how to live gracefully, and the key features of high ceilings, low window sills, wide doorways and corridors have been adhered to in all the additions to the home.
Both Charlie and Sarah have played an active part in the home all through their childhood, from providing entertainment to one and all as toddlers, to washing up dishes and mowing lawns as teenagers. Now that they have both graduated from university they are going to ensure that Huntington House remains in the Hoare family for many years to come.
