In short, we enable our residents to live the lifestyle they choose to lead, as independently as possible.
Lifestyle and well-being go hand-in-hand. Enabling a resident to lead a lifestyle that suits them, inevitably improves their overall well-being. Variety and choice is offered in every aspect of life at our nursing care home; from the time they choose to get up in the morning to their favourite night-time tipple.
For those who enjoy a full social life, there is plenty of opportunity to partake in parties, and to pursue interests such as gardening, singing and even Thai Chi. We enjoy regular trips, and our Marks and Spencer shopping visits are very popular.
Partaking is just part of the enjoyment. Residents are encouraged to help in the organisation of our events and entertainment, ensuring that we are providing purposeful activity. For those whose preference is for privacy, that will always be respected, and there are plenty of places for peace and quiet.
Residents can choose to wine and dine in our stunning Orangery dining room or our peaceful conservatory. We offer full room service and dining support is also available. We take pride in providing delicious and nutritious home-cooked food, using fresh, seasonal and local produce whenever possible.
Afternoon Tea is undoubtedly our kitchen's speciality, with freshly-baked cakes and traditional sandwiches made daily. We encourage anyone to pop in for a piece of cake and a cuppa to chat to our team. No need to make an appointment, just drop by.
Langham Court residents with dementia can enjoy the same variety of activities as the residents of Huntington House, alongside maintaining the actions they would normally complete at home. The household care plan means everyone works together to keep the household going, so activities can include washing dishes with one of the carers, or sweeping the floors.
