Langham Court brings a different approach to dementia care, with the emphasis on our residents' emotions rather than their dementia.
Our care team, which includes the maintenance, housekeeping and catering staff, make our residents feel at home in Langham Court, and provide them with a sense of purpose. Whether it be helping to lay the table for lunch or hammer in a picture hook, it enables independence and elevates self-esteem.
This 'enabling' approach is based on the Butterfly Project, which was pioneered by a company called Dementia Care Matters who have helped us implement this 'household' care model with ongoing staff training.
The unique design of the building, incorporating two ground floors with easy access to safe, secure and stunning gardens on both levels, also supports independence and promotes well-being. All of the bedrooms have floor-to-ceiling windows and many have their own picket-fenced gardens.
We encourage you to come and visit us to appreciate how homely Langham Court really is.
